About this project

Created from scratch over two months, inspired by the 80s arcade game Elevator Action. Emphasized iterative design and user feedback through paper prototyping and vertical/horizontal game slices.

Implemented core systems including audio management, menus, tutorial levels, encrypted high-score tables, portals, elevators, and entity spawn management.

Key learning areas included gameplay iteration, system design, and playtesting, with identified opportunities for improving AI, controls, animations, camera, level clarity, and code architecture.
